Great starter entomology kit. You’ll get everything you need to relax your very own insects. A great start for a budding entomologist or insect enthusiast! Excellent present idea!

This is a bit of a delicate process so the minimum age is 12+.

Younger kids can have a go, just be careful with the pins as they are sharp. And remember to go slowly as any wings are very delicate.

Included in this kit:
1 x Fine-tipped tweezers
1 x Spreading board
Insect specimens as pictured (or similar)
100 x Entomology Pins
1 x Instructions on how to rehydrate and spread the specimens

The insects included will be a similar mix to the ones pictured, with a good mix of families and species. Some may be A1 while others may be A1-/A2, meaning there may be a piece of leg missing or there may be an issue with the antennae etc. You will always get a scorpion and we try to include a type of rhino beetle as well.

Not included in this kit is a rehydration box. Any container + some moist paper towels can be used for this.
There is also no sterilisation agent to prevent mould during rehydration. Lysol or similar can be used (Ethanol/hydrogen peroxide mixture).
