Day Flying Moth – Dysphania militaris
Displayed in a 10cm frame, this specimen is set on cotton. This results in a safe way to store and display the butterfly, and is a more economical method of framing.
Dysphania militaris is a species of moth of the family Geometridae that is found from in the tropical regions of South and Southeast Asian countries such as China, India, Myanmar, Andaman Islands, Sumatra and Java. It was first described by Carl Linnaeus in his 1758 10th edition of Systema Naturae. (Wikipedia)
